As a Native Arkansan, I offer genuine leadership that listens.
I fight for Healthcare, Equal Opportunities, Prioritizing People, Conservation and Education.
I fight for Healthcare, Equal Opportunities, Prioritizing People, Conservation and Education.
Courtney King is a native Arkansan, nonprofit founder, and the 2025 recipient of the NWA Weaver Award. A former Senior Class President at Alma High School, Courtney is currently on the Dean's List in the final semester of her senior year at the University of Arkansas’s Fulbright College, where she is completing a BA in Studio Arts with a STEM certificate and minor in Art History.
Courtney's commitment to District 25 is rooted in more than a decade of living and working in the Ozark National Forest along the Mulberry River. Courtney brings professional expertise to her land stewardship as a Certified Interpretive Guide and Leave No Trace Instructor, experience she honed while serving as a facilities manager at Hobbs State Park. Because of this lived experience, conservation is always at the forefront of her plans. She believes we can revitalize our rural economy by connecting the Ozark Highlands Trail to our towns, supporting family farmers through innovation, and investing in community wellness. If you are looking for a representative who combines academic excellence, certified technical expertise, and a heart for protecting our land, Courtney King is your voice for Homegrown Hope.
H.O.P.E.
H – Healthcare:
• Medical Privacy & Reproductive Freedom: True medical freedom means protecting reproductive rights and ensuring that personal health decisions remain strictly between a patient and their doctor.
• Maternal & Community Wellness: We will confront the rural maternal health crisis by extending postpartum Medicaid coverage and ensuring families have access to quality care close to home, supporting healthy mothers, children, and communities.
• Mental Health Access: Drawing on my background as an Art Therapy Practitioner, I will fight to expand access to mental health services and therapeutic arts to support the holistic well-being of our neighbors.
O – Opportunity:
• Agricultural Innovation: We will strengthen family farmers and rural vitality by advocating for farm and business innovation, creating investments in regional community hubs that sustain our agricultural heritage.
• Economic Growth through Tourism: Rather than reducing services, we will generate local revenue by connecting the Ozark Highlands Trail to the Razorback Greenway, boosting tourism dollars for our small towns while preserving our rural way of life.
• Infrastructure & Connectivity: We will revitalize the rural economy by investing in essential infrastructure, including broadband and road improvements, to ensure our local businesses, farmers, and landowners can thrive in a modern economy.
P – Prioritizing People:
• Conservation & Heritage: Drawing on my experience working in the Ozark National Forest and Hobbs State Park, I will protect our natural heritage and public lands through youth conservation volunteer programs, ensuring outdoor recreation remains accessible to all.
•Inclusion & Representation: I am committed to ethical outreach that ensures every Arkansan—from rural working families, farmers, teachers, veterans, A.L.I.C.E. households, LGBTQ+ and minority communities who are in desperate need of collaboration and represenation community—has a seat at the table, rather than prioritizing special interests.
• Rights & Transparency: We will protect the constitutional rights of our neighbors by safeguarding voting access and maintaining a government that is transparent, accountable, and open to the people it serves.
E – Education:
• Public Schools & Teacher Support: As an environmental educator with a background in art and S.T.E.A.M., I will champion our public schools by fighting for higher teacher pay and keeping tax dollars in our classrooms rather than diverting them to vouchers.
• S.T.E.A.M. & Workforce Readiness: To give students a competitive edge for a changing workforce, we will invest in hands-on S.T.E.A.M. learning and inclusive spaces that foster interdisciplinary skills and creativity.
• Student Success: We will support parents and students by ensuring schools provide universal breakfast and wraparound services, guaranteeing that every child is nourished and ready to learn.
